My stay at Borgo Il Poggiaccio was absolutely stunning. We were there for a wedding and then stayed for a few extra days. The venue and staff were incredible, especially the setting for the wedding. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were so friendly. The location was great for exploring nearby towns and the food in the restaurant was amazing. The lodging was adorable, with spacious rooms and a beautiful old building in a scenic location. The hotel also had a pool that was clean and inviting.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Very good location to discover Tuscany, close to Siena and Florence. Very nice pool, good Breakfast for Italian Standards, good general manager, clean apartment, peaceful
No aircondition in the room (not really needed), apartment relatively dark. Apartments on direction to the street with car noise.

Location, location. We stay for 9 nights and we drive all over Toscany.Great. The hotel looks great ,and is a relaxing place(execept the mosquitos). After we came back in the night we enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosfere, and in the morning we had a good starting at the pool before we hit the road. We drove arround Toscany 4000 km,great location
The staff is not so friendly. They do not clean the apt (only make the bed!?). We aske for fresh towels(we stay there 9 nights). Brekfast is poor, good but poor. A lots of mosquitos. No air condition and if is hot we need to kep the windows open.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Borgo Il Poggiaccio Residenza D'Epoca Guest House in Sovicille for a business trip, chosen by my director. I must say, my experience was exceptional.
One minor issue I encountered during my stay was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

The children enjoyed the swimming pool. Location was handy to get to the sights around Tuscany that we wanted to visit.

The rooms are good value for money, spacious and everything you need in the kitchen. The bike hire was free too.
The pool needs a proper clean and far too deep for children, and there was an unpleasant smell around the property (egg - like) for the entire stay.

Christmas at this hotel was a mixed experience. the location was great, allowing us to easily explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. the apartment we stayed in was spacious and clean. the staff were friendly and provided helpful information and assistance. One of the highlights was the restaurant, where we enjoyed high quality food. the facilities and charm of the place were impressive, making it a memorable stay.
There were some negatives to our Christmas stay. the price we paid for the apartment seemed too high for what we received.

This property is perfect for two couples traveling together. We stayed in a two bedroom/two bath suite...one bedroom and bath on the first floor and one bedroom and bath upstairs along with a kitchen, dining area and living room. They also have one bedroom units. The name of our suite was La Pesa and it was terrific. It was bright, spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished. The wifi worked fine and so did the satellite tv. Everyone we came into contact with, especially Alfredo, was friendly and welcoming. One morning it was raining and when we opened the front door there were two umbrellas there. Breakfasts included eggs, bacon and sausages along with cereals, fruits and various breads and croissants. We ate in the restaurant one night and everyone loved their food. If we travel back to this area we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
They could use a stronger wife router. It was fine in La Pesa but we couldn't pick up a signal in the restaurant or pool areas.
